Crestron Raises the Bar in Presentation Solutions

Earlier this month the presentation solutions market leader Crestron debuted the new audio and visual solution Crestron RL 2. Crestron RL 2 utilizes Microsoft’s Lync software to comply easily with existing networks. While linking simply to your network, Crestron RL 2 enhances any conference room or meeting space with a single-solution video, audio, instant messaging, and virtual meeting system. Rather than working on separate personal computers or laptops, the Microsoft Lync system allows seamless collaboration through conference room displays and interactive content sharing. With analog microphones, wall-mounted touch displays, soundbars, cameras, and speakerphone capabilities, Crestron RL 2 is an easy-to-use system that enhances the modern virtual meeting.

With four different packages modified to accommodate a breadth of office spaces, Crestron RL 2 provides the proper hardware for simple implementation. After mounting the display and authenticating the system to your company’s network, Crestron RL 2 is ready for you to connect to users in your local network. Unlike other presentation solutions, Crestron RL 2 does not require programming. At the touch of a button, the user can start a conference call while sharing content and connecting with other users via mobile phone, personal computer, or tablet. Crestron RL 2 is a single solution that provides wireless connection and collaboration to participants within the Lync network.

The new Crestron RL 2 combines both Microsoft Lync capabilities for collaborative and consistent audio, video, and messaging features with Crestron’s ability to control room functions. From the Crestron RL 2 tablet, the user can control the window shades, the volume of the monitors, the lighting in the room, and other AV controls that can be linked with the tablet. Thus the Crestron system provides complete collaboration and control at the touch of a button on one screen.

Touch screen displays create a digital whiteboard that allows users to draw freely or annotate PowerPoint presentations throughout the meeting. Once the meeting is complete, the annotated PowerPoint slides or the pages from the whiteboard feature can be emailed.
