Here's a recap of the best apps to help stay productive while on the go from our last coffee talk event.

From customer relationship management to web meetings to project management, Dan taught us that you can be productive from almost anywhere with the 10+ apps he shared. Edit documents on the go with:

Google Drive apps: Make changes to your documents or slides in real time, or simply share your document with colleagues with the Google Drive apps.

New Microsoft Word and Excel apps: Create or edit a word document, powerpoint or excel spreadsheet on the go.

Customer Relationship Management:

Nutshell CRM: Scan a business card with Nutshell CRM and the contact’s name, company, phone, and email will be automatically be stored in your phone.


Project Management:

Asana: Keep track of projects, delegate tasks under a project, and keep a project on track with Asana.

Toggl: Toggl allows you to log your time independently, or connect with colleagues to log your time as a team. By tracking your time precisely, Toggl allows for accurate client billing and time management for a smooth project.

Web Meetings:

Google Hangouts: Google Hangouts assists with all facets of communication. Google Hangouts can transcribe your voicemails, allow you to chat with colleagues, share your location and set up a google virtual number to be used for business.

Zoom: Zoom marries cloud video conferencing with online meetings and group messaging to create one application. Whether you would like to join a 25-person virtual meeting or have a face-to-face meeting, Zoom can connect you with colleagues to work anywhere, anytime.

Facetime: Facetime enables quick video calls and conferences so you can check in, talk to, or laugh with your colleagues on the go. Whether you are on your iPhone, iPad, or MacBook, Facetime connects you here, there and everywhere.


Shopping:

Amazon: Read product details, reviews, check prices instantly, and make a secure purchase through with the Amazon shopping app. Amazon enables shopping on the go, anytime.

Chipotle: Can’t ignore that craving for Chipotle? With the Chipotle app, you can skip the line by placing your custom order, paying securely through the app and picking up your order at the Chipotle nearest you. No need to wait in line.

UHaul: Easily find UHaul locations along with the managing every facet of your move. Manage your past and present reservations and reserve the things you need at the touch of a button.

Instacart: Can’t make it to the grocery store? Use the Instacart app to have food from local grocery stores delivered when you need it. Order groceries from Whole Foods Market, Cub or Costco just the way you like it, and they will be delivered to your doorstep.

Find Your Stuff:

Tile: The Tile app is the world’s lost and found. This app works with a tile, or a small Bluetooth tracker that finds everyday items when you can’t. The Tile app can also enable your phone to ring, even when it is on silent, so you can find it when it’s lost.


Automation:

WeMo: WeMo is a family of products that allows you to control almost everything in your home, from anywhere. Make sure the kids’ TV turns off at bedtime, make sure your outdoor lights turn off at sunrise, and light up a dark room before you walk in. WeMo enables you to keep your home safe, even when you are not there.

Samsung SmartCam: Paired with Samsung’s Techwin’s home monitoring system, Samsung’s SmartCam app allows you to view live video of your home from anywhere. The SmartCam app is free and designed specifically to protect your home when you can’t be there. The SmartCam app will also send you notifications you when it senses motion.


Accounting and Finance:

Xero: Send invoices, add receipts or create expense claims from anywhere on your mobile phone with Xero. The Xero app allows you to manage your business on the go. Use Xero’s mobile apps to manage your business while you’re on the move.

Mint: The Mint app allows you to pay your bills, keep an eye on your credit score and assist with budgeting. The Mint app is your all in one money manager, on the go.


Chat:

Hipchat: Hipchat is the latest group messaging application. Hipchat was created with collaboration, cohesion and communication in mind. Video chat a colleague, send group messages, create chat rooms, send direct messages, share files and work closely with your team when you are on the move with Hipchat.


Food and Travel:

Fly Delta: The Fly Delta app allows you to access day-of-travel information and a history of all your notifications, enabling simple, stress-free travel. Pay for checked bags and track their location, re-book cancelled flights, book SkyMiles account balances, check in with an eBoarding Pass, check your flight’s status and much more on the Fly Delta app.
